Dear Family and friends,
I met Dinu and his family on my sabbatical in the Fall of 2009. He lives in a village outside of Bodh Gaya, in the state of Bihar, the poorest state in India, which makes it an even more difficult situation for women. One path out of poverty is education, and one path to a more peaceful society is to educate the girls. I have been committed to helping Dinu’s sister, Rajni, with her educational expenses. She now goes to a better school and has been doing very well academically. Dinu writes to me all the time expressing his gratitude for helping his sister.
If you are willing to help out financially, Please
send a check to:

Wooow, you told me about it when we met in pushkar. It's really impressive, that you were of such great help for her and that she actually achieved something.

Hi Alli,
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice to hear from you. It has been a long time since either of us have corresponded. I hope you are doing well. I'd love to hear what is going on in your life - send me an email when you get a chance. I am off to Laos in a half hour.
Love,
Robert
p.s. In case you did not follow my blog during my sabbatical year, there are a couple of pictures of you on the December 14th, 2010 Pushkar post.
