The first stop on Group 2's SLIP itinerary was the Museum of Ethnology. Of Vietnam's 90 million people, 86% are the Kinh people, but there are 53 minority groups that live in Vietnam, each with its own language, lifestyle, and cultural heritage. We will visit a few of these minority groups in Sapa in just a few days.
- Tay people: 1,600,000 people
- Dao People: 750,000 people
- Zay people: 50,000 people
- H'mong people: 1,300,000 people
