Graffiti in Trastevere
Sculptures on one of the bridges crossing the Tiber: I am sure I crossed this bridge before but did not focus on the sculptures.
San Salvatore in Lauro:
This church was built on the site of an ancient pagan temple. The church was first built in the 11th century, and then rebuilt in 1450.
I had been to this church before and really liked it, but somehow I missed all of these "sculptured paintings"
Victor Emmanuel II Monument:
This monument was built between 1885 and 1935 to honor Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Unified Italy. It is also known as "Alter of the Fatherland." I still have not climbed the steps.
Details on the Theatre of Marcellus, which I wrote about on an earlier post, but just took some more detailed photos.
